This gentle story follows a calf and his mother as the young moose learns about the other creatures in his woodland world, some of which seem a bit scary at first. After an adventurous day in which the two moose become separated, the calf is reunited with its mother and is ready for a well-deserved rest. The book includes a page of interesting moose facts. A Moose's Morning is the third in a series of wild animal babies books by Pamela Love, following A Cub Explores and A Loon Alone.

"A breezy narrative infused with factual information.... [The text is] paired with richly hued illustration done in a soft-focus, almost impressionistic style. The text and art inform and engage young readers." --School Library Journal
